  • 8 slices bacon
  • 8 slices cheese
  • 8 slices bread
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 8 dill pickles

Cook the bacon in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until it is browned. Drain the bacon on paper towels and set it aside. Cut 4 of the pickles into slices. Then heat a skillet over medium heat. On one side of each slice of bread, spread the butter and lay 4 of them butter side down on the skillet. Top the slices of bread with a slice of cheese, 2 strips of bacon, a layer of pickles, and another slice of cheese. Top the sandwich with a slice of bread with the butter side face up. Cook the sandwiches until both sides are golden. Serve with the remaining dill pickles on the side or on a toothpick skewered through the sandwich.
