Bacon Spinach Salad

This tastes so good, it's the only way I will eat spinach! My grandma would always make it for me and she passed it down to me.

  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1/4 C. white vinegar
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 10-oz. bag fresh spinach, washed
  • 5 med. green onions (chopped, 1/3 C.)

1. Cook the bacon over medium heat, stirring occassionally until crisp, do not drain.

2. Add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper.

3. Heat through, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.

4. Remove from heat.

5. Add spinach and onions to mixture.

6. Toss 1-2 minutes until spinach is wilted.
