If your bagels are not quite as fresh as you’d like, give them a new purpose and bake them to make bagel chips! These chips add a garlic and cheese seasoning and are a great homemade snack.

  • 3 bagels
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 ½ minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Lightly grease a baking sheet and preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Slice the bagels into thin 1/8 inch slices and arrange the slices on the baking sheet. Make sure they are not overlapping or layered on top of each other. Combine the olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic, and cheese. Stir to mix the ingredients and then brush the seasoned oil over the bagels. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chips. Bake for 15 minutes.
