Baked Bean Casserole
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. bacon, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 C. chopped onion
- 1/2 C. chopped celery
- 1/2 C. green pepper (optional)
- 1/2 C. ketchup
- 1/4 C. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 Tbs. white vinegar
- 1 7 1/2 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 10 oz. can mushrooms
- 1 14 oz. can pork and beans
- 1 14 oz. can red kidney beans (undrained)
Directions
In a large skillet or cooking pot, fry bacon until crisp. Add onion and ground beef and cook until beef is no longer pink. Remove from heat and drain off fat. Add remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Transfer to a large casserold dish and bake uncovered at 350 degrees.
