  • 1 1/2 tsp. Sea Salt, divided
  • 8 oz. Bow-Tie Pasta
  • 4 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced
  • 1/4 C. All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/8 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
  • 2 C. Skim Milk
  • 1 1/4 C. Shredded White Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 1/4 C. Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • 4 oz. Cooked Ham, diced

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add 1 tsp. of sea salt to a large pot of water, and bring to a boil. Add bow-ties and cook for 10 minutes until pasta is al dente. Drain and set aside. Place butter in a large saucepan over medium heat, and warm until melted. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Whisk in flour, 1/2 tsp. of salt, and pepper, and cook, stirring continuously, until a smooth sauce forms. Gradually add the milk to the mixture, still stirring constantly. Bring sauce to a boil and let cook for 1 minute. Stir in white cheddar and Swiss cheese. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the cheeses melt. Remove cheese sauce from heat, and mix in the pasta and diced ham. Pour casserole mixture into an 8x8" baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is bubbly and bow-tie ends are browned.
