Banana Nut Bread

Ingredients
- 1 C. shortening
- 1/2 C. sugar
- 2 C. mashed ripe bananas
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 4 C. sifted flour
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 C. chopped nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and shortening. Add bananas and eggs. Beat well. Add sifted, dry ingredients. Add nuts. Blend well. Fill 1/2 full 16 6-oz. frozen juice cans, well-greased. Bake in oven for 45 minutes. Cool, run knife around can. Slice and serve with butter or cream cheese.
