Put away that instant oatmeal box, you're better than that. Believe it or not, it is possible to make your own oatmeal without having to sacrifice time in the morning! Make a breakfast in minutes that far surpasses that boxed oatmeal you resort to.

  • 1/2 C. oats
  • 1/2 C. water
  • 1/4 C. whole milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 1/2 Tbs. pecans

Cut the tip off of the banana, then cut the rest of it into slices. Put half the slices into a bowl and set aside the other half. Add oats, water, and milk to bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes. When done, mash bananas and stir into oatmeal to thicken it. Top oatmeal with remainder of banana slices and pecans.
