Banana Split Pie

Ingredients
- 2 pkg. vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2 C. milk
- 1 ready-made chocolate pie crust
- 1 C. fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1/2 C. crushed pineapple, well drained
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 1 8 oz. tub chocolate-flavored whipped topping
- 1/4 C. chopped peanuts (optional)
- Chocolate syrup (optional)
Directions
Pour milk into large mixing bowl and add pudding mix, whisk until smooth. Pour 1 1/2 cups of pudding into bottom of crust. Top with half the strawberries and bananas. Fold in half the whipped topping to remaining pudding, spread over fruit layer. Top pie with remaining whipped topping - to about a 1/2-inch from the edge. Drizzle with chocolate syrup; sprinkle with chopped peanuts, if desidred.
Refrigerate until pie sets, about 3 hours. Keep refrigerated.
Note: Recipe works fine using low-fat whipped topping and milk, if desired.
