This is a delicious recipe that you can make for any vegetarians that you know. By draining the tofu, marinating, and cooking at a high temperature, it loses that watery, bland flavor and becomes chewy. Try it in sandwiches, on nachos, or just for a snack!

After the tofu has been drained, slice it into 8 slices and then cut the slices in half.

In a medium bowl, combine the garlic powder, vinegar, pepper, and barbecue sauce and marinate the tofu for at least an hour.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Remove the tofu from the marinade and save extra marinade for basting. Lay the tofu on a cookie sheet and bake for approximately 40 minutes or until the edges brown and the tofu has gotten firmer. Baste halfway through.

Alternatively, grill the tofu on an outdoor grill after marinating.
