Barbecue Beef Sandwiches

The Best BBQ Sandwiches, juicy, tender, fall apart. Can use cheap cut of beef!

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 lb. bottom round beef roast, well-trimmed of excess fat
  • 1 med. onion, chopped
  • 3/4 C. ketchup
  • 1/2 C. cola soda
  • 1 Tbs. Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 1/4 C. water
  • 8 sandwich Bbuns (Kaisers work great)

Directions

1. Place beef and onion in a 3 1/2 qt or larger slow-cooker. Mix ketchup, cola, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, pour over beef.

2. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours. Remove beef to a plate: cover loosely with foil. Increase cooker heat to high. Stir cornstarch and water in a small cup until dissolved. Stir into liquid in crockpot. Cover and cook 15-20 minutes until thickened.

3. Thinly slice beef, layer on buns and spoon sauce over top.

Per sandwich: 462 calories, 48 g. protein, 34 g  carbohydrates, 1 g. fiber, 13 g. fat (4 g. saturated fat) 117 mg cholesterol, 692 mg. sodium
