Basic Pancake Recipe

This is a delicious pancake recipe everybody loves.

  • 1 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 1/2 C. buttermilk
  • 1 lg. egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 Tbs. vegetable oil

Combine pancake mix and sugar in a medium bowl. Whisk together 1 1/2 C. buttermilk, egg, and oil; add to dry ingredients, whisking just until lumps disappear. Pour about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or large non·stick pan. Cook pancakes 2 minutes or until tops are covered with bubbles and edges begin to look cooked; turn and cook 2 more minutes or until done.

  • I'm sorry but I followed this recipe all the way & the batter was way way too thin & the pancakes tasted just like flour. It was absolutly terrible.
