Bay Rum Hand Lotion
Ingredients
- 3 1/2 C. distilled water (see note)
- 3 oz. glycerin
- 3 oz. Bay Rum
- 1/4 oz. gum of tragacanth
Directions
Soak the gum of tragacanth overnight in distilled water. Strain and beat with an egg beater. Add glycerin and bay rum and mix well with egg beater. Pour into sterilized bottles, then cork or cover with tight-fitting lid. To use: apply a dime size drop of lotion to hands. Rub vigorously until absorbed.
Note: To make distilled water, you can boil water for 10 minutes. Since this recipe contains alcohol please use caution when driving or operating machinery.
