Beef and Chili Pie

A great shredded beef treat. After meat is cooked, it is a snap to put together and serve

Ingredients

  • 1 tri-tip roast, cooked in beef broth
  • 1 pkg. pre-made pie crust dough
  • 1 sm. can diced green chilies
  • 1 brick Jack cheese, shredded or grated

Directions

Pre-cook your roast in a little beef broth (8 hours in a crockpot, 40 minutes in a pressure cooker). Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees. Place your bottom crust in a pie pan. Place your shredded beef over that, in quarters. Pour the green chilies over that and cover the whole pie with the grated jack cheese. Cover with the top crust. Now slice through the whole thing in quarters. Remember the inside is cooked and all you want to do is cook the crusts. Bake for 10-30 minutes depending on your oven (check throughout).

Serve with mixed vegetables and a salad.
