Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C Stew Meat Mix*
  • 16 oz Can sliced carrots (drained)
  • 12 Pearl onions (or frozen small whole onions)
  • 2 C Sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 3 Tbs Quick cooking tapioca
  • 2 Tbs Prepared mustard
  • 2 tsp Instant beef bouillon granules
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 1/4 C Tomato juice
  • 1 C Water

Directions

Place Stew Meat Mix*, carrots, onions, and mushrooms in a 2 quart casserole. In a medium size bowl, combine tapioca, mustard, beef bouillon granules, sugar, and salt. Stir in tomato juice and water. Pour over meat and vegetables. Cover and bake in a 350 F oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until heated through and slightly thickened. Stir once after 30 minutes and again before serving.
