Beef Stroganoff Casserole

  • 1 lb. Ground beef
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup; condensed
  • 8 oz. Sour cream
  • 1 can (small) black olives; sliced
  • 1 can (small) mushroom stems and pieces
  • 12 oz. Egg noodles

Cook egg noodles according to directions and set aside. Cook ground beef until it is no longer pink. Drain off grease. Add soup, sour cream, olives, mushrooms, and noodles and cook until heated through.

  • I have been making this for my family for years. Everyone loves it. I sautee' onions, garlic, and mushrooms and add it to the above recipe. Yumm!!!

  • No offense people but Stroganoff should be cubed round steak or london broil,with nice brown gravy on wide noodles.A simple peasant meal not hamburger helper.

  • Sounds good. You could also use groung turkey or even ground chicken instead of the ground beef to make it a little healthier and instead of cream of mushroom soup, you can sub cream of chicken or cream of celery if you only have them in you cupboards.Don't be afraid to try changing or trying different things in a recipe, and write down what you changed in it so you can remember it, if you you'd like to make it again.
