These beer battered corn dogs will rival any carnival or fair’s version. The batter is the perfect thickness for frying and tastes amazing. With a dab of ketchup and mustard, these corn dogs will be ready for any party.

  • 1 C. flour
  • 1 C. cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 C. beer
  • 1/2 C. buttermilk

In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, baking powder, soda and salt. Using a whisk, combine eggs, milk, and beer. Add to the dry ingredients and whisk until no lumps remain. Heat oil in deep pan or deep fryer until it reaches 375° F. Insert a stick into each hot dog half and dip in batter. Fry in the oil until golden. Drain and enjoy.
