Beer Bread
Ingredients
- 1 (1/4 oz.) package active dry yeast
- ¼ C. warm water
- 1/3 C. granulated sugar
- 3 C. self rising flour
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer, room temperature.
Directions
Dissolve yeast in water. Add sugar, flour and beer. Mix well until blended. Grease a 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan and pour mixture into it. Let rise in a warm draft free area for at least one hour. Bake at 400 degrees for about 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 20 minutes, then place on rack to complete cooling.
