These sweet and salty nuts are the perfect snack, whether or not it's with a beer.

  • 24 oz. shelled raw peanuts
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1/2 C. water
  • Salt

Combine first 3 ingredients in saucepan. Stir over medium heat until all liquid evaporates. Pour onto cookie sheet and bake at 300 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven; stir and sprinkle with salt. Return to oven 15 minutes. Stir lightly and salt again. Bake 10 minutes longer. Let cool Makes about 6 C.
