  • 1 loaf French bread, cubed
  • 2 C. shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 C. shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 2 T. all-purpose flour
  • 1 clove garlic, cut in half
  • 1 C. dry white wine
  • 1 T. lemon juice
  • 3 T. dry sherry

Combine cheeses and flour in a ziplock bag, shaking to coat. Rub the garlic half on the bottom and sides of your fondue pot or saucepan and discard. Stir in wine and bring to a simmer. Pour in lemon juice. Add the cheese mixture 1/2-cup at a time, stirring constantly until melted. Whisk in sherry. Serve immediately with bread cubes and keep warm over low heat.
