Best Italian Beef

I'm a quilting teacher, and was teaching a class one day - wondering out loud what in the world I would make for dinner. One of my students, an older gal, gave me this recipe! Men absolutely love it. It's fast, easy and yummy.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 - 3 lb. pot roast
  • 1/2 C. sliced pepperoncini (do not drain juice)
  • 2 peeled cloves garlic
  • 1 pkg. Seven Seas Italian dressing (dry mix)
  • 1 pkg. Au Jus (dry mix)

Directions

Put first 4 ingredients in crock pot. Put ceramic part of crock pot (covered with Saran Wrap) in microwave and cook on high for 20 minutes.

Put pot back in crock pot cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours. After around 3 hours, using 2 forks, pull meat apart in shreds. If needed, add Au Jus mix at the end of cooking time.
