Best Southern Style Fried Chicken

- 1 chicken, separated into pieces
- 2 eggs beaten
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cup of white flour
- 1 and ¾ teaspoons of ground pepper, black
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 C. salt
Cut the chicken into fryable pieces and pat dry. Brine overnight in the 1/2 C. salt and buttermilk in the fridge.
Remove the brined chicken the following day and allow to come to room temperature.Pat the chicken pieces dry and dip into the beaten eggs. Then dip into the flour and season liberally with salt and pepper. Repeat this process again.
Fry in 350 degree oil for about 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
