This copycat Applebee’s recipe is absolutely out of this world. I’ve always struggled with making fried fish, but this recipe makes it so easy! Each bite is incredibly crispy, without being too heavy or greasy. Give it a try!

Over medium heat, warm the oil in a large deep pot. Allow oil to heat to 325 degrees F. Fry potatoes in the oil in small batches. Each batch should cook about 4 to 5 minutes. Remove fried from the pot and place the on a paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Raise oil temperature in the pot to roughly 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine flour, seasoning, and salt. Create a well in the seasoning bowl, and add the cold beer into the center then mix to combine. Coat the fish fillets in the mixture and then in batches add the fillets to the oil. Fry the fish fillets until golden brown. Once the fillets are done, remove from oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain and cool.
