  • 3/4 C. unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 C. flour
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 C. chocolate chips
  • 12 oz. chocolate frosting
  • icing and sprinkles for decorating

Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease the inside of two 9-inch pie pans. In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Mix in egg, additional egg yolk, and vanilla until well combined. In another bowl, mix together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips. Distribute mixture evenly between the two prepared pie pans. Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool completely. Spread the top of each with frosting and stack the cookie sheets on top of one another. Decorate to your preference using icing and sprinkles.
