Ingredients

Yellow cake mix
1 can crushed pineapple
1 large box instant vanilla pudding mix
1 large container Cool Whip
1 bag coconut
1 C. chopped nuts
4 C. milk
1 C. sugar
1 C. water
3 eggs
1/4 C. oil
Buttermilk for cake mix instead of water

Directions

Mix cake mix as directed except use buttermilk instead of water. While cake is cooking, place crushed pineapple in small pot with 1 C. sugar and 1 C. water and bring to a boil then turn it off. When cake is done, punch holes in it with fork and pour it over the cake while hot. Let it cool down, then fix the pudding as directed and put over the cooled down cake. Put the Cool Whip on top of the pudding, then put the coconut over and chopped nuts on top. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
