When mixing drinks for Halloween, you have to have black vodka. The brand is the literally named Blavod, vodka flavored with catechu, an herb that turns it black. The best way to use black vodka is to float a layer on top of brightly colored juice. Orange juice works, but we liked the more solidly orange-colored mango nectar. Once you mix the juice and vodka, it becomes a bizarre color of murky pea green. (It could work well in the cauldron.)
