Blackberry Jam Cake

- 1 Cup of buttermilk
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup butter
- 3 cups all-purpose floor
- 1 ½ tea-spoon baking soda
- 1 cup softened butter
- 2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup black berry jam (plus 2 cups for filling)
- 1 spoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 spoon allspice
In a bowl, add butter and sugar. Mix thoroughly.
Add eggs and jam into the mixture and stir.
In a different bowl, put the flour, soda and all the spices and mix.
Add the flour mixture into the egg mixture while adding the butter milk and stir to a smooth paste.
Put in a cake pan and bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool for an hour. After an hour, slice cake in half horizontally and spread jam evenly across the cake. Top with the upper half.
