Making your own yogurt might seem impossible, but this recipe makes it easy. It is sure to be creamy, delicious and preservative free, unlike anything at the store.

  • 1 qt. milk
  • 1 Tbs. yogurt with live-active cultures, room temp.
  • 1 C. blackberries, pureed
  • 1 C. whole blackberries

Set the crockpot to medium and pour in the milk. Once the milk reached 180°F, turn of the heat and allow the milk to cool to 120°F. Gently stir in the yogurt until thoroughly incorporated. Cover the crockpot and wrap in towels (make sure the crockpot is unplugged). Allow it to sit for 8 hours. Do not disturb. Move the yogurt to the refrigerator and allow to set for 4 hours. Stir in the blackberry puree and top with fresh berries.
