Blackened Shrimp Pizza

This is a quick delicious pizza recipe. It is a little hot BUT, you can use less of the measured ingredients. Kids love it as well!

  • 1 Tbs. grill seasoning
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. dried cayenne pepper
  • 7 lg. shrimp, uncooked and deveined
  • 1 Tbs. olive oil
  • 1 med. pizza dough
  • 1 C. shredded mozzarella or your favorite cheese
  • 2 sm. yellow tomatoes, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4 C. chopped red onion
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs. thyme
  • 1 tsp. red pepper flakes (optional)
  • coarse salt

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine grill seasoning, paprika, chili powder, and cayenne pepper in a ziploc bag. Add the shrimp to the seasoning and shake well until all is coated. Stretch out pizza dough onto a pizza pan. Add sliced tomatoes first, then garlic, onion, and jalepeno pepper. Now add the shrimp. Sprinkle with the red pepper flakes and thyme then top with shredded cheese. Sprinkle olive oil on the edges of the pizza and if you like, add your favorite powder seasoning, I add garlic powder to the edges. Bake 12-15 minutes, until crisp and bubbly-brown on top.
