This blackened steak recipe, adapted from Omaha Steaks, is quick and easy! As an added bonus, you’ll have extra seasoning and sauce left to use on other meals!

Ingredients

  • 4 (10-14 oz.) steaks
  • 1/4 C. olive oil
  • 8 tsp. blackening seasoning
  • 1 C. creamy horseradish sauce
  • Blackening seasoning
  • 3 Tbs. sea salt
  • 1/4 C. paprika
  • 2 Tbs. cayenne pepper
  • 1 Tbs. dry oregano
  • 1 Tbs. thyme
  • 1 Tbs. fennel seed
  • 1 Tbs. pepper
  • 1 Tbs. white pepper
  • 1 Tbs. granulated garlic
  • 1 Tbs. garlic powder
  • Horseradish sauce
  • 1/2 C. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 C. sour cream
  • 3 Tbs. horseradish
  • 1 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 Tbs. green onions, finely minced
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt

Directions

For the seasoning, mix all ingredients together well. Yields 1 cup.

For the horseradish sauce, combine all the ingredients and mix well. Yields 1 cup.

Heat a grill on high and brush the steaks with olive oil. Coat each side of the steaks with 1 tsp. blackening seasoning and place steaks on grill. Cook about 4 minutes on each side, or until desired level of doneness is achieved.

Serve with sauce.
