  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 1 T. Dijon mustard
  • 2 T. dark brown sugar
  • 1 onion
  • 4 clove garlic
  • 2 ½ lb. beef brisket
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 T. cider vinegar
  • ¼ C. sour cream
  • ½ head of cabbage
  • 4 buns
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Sliced Pickles

In a slow cooker, mix together the tomato sauce, sugar, chili powder, mustard, 2 T. of vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, onion, and garlic. Season the brisket with pepper and cut it into pieces. Add it into a slow cooker and coat the meat with the mixture. Let it cook for 7-8 hours on a high setting. Right before the meat is done mix together the sour cream, remaining vinegar, and salt. Cut the cabbage and slice it and add it into to mixture. Shred the beef with a fork and stir it into the cooking liquid and the onions. When ready, serve it on a bun and top it with the coleslaw and pickles.
