Bloody Eyeballs in Maggot Pudding

This ghoulish dessert is my son's favorite! He always says, "ewwww, disgusting...but good!" This dessert came about when we were trying to come up with gross Halloween desserts that were quick and easy to make, but really scared his friends! We use homemade rice pudding for the maggot pudding part, but this is easily made with store bought rice pudding!

Ingredients

  • 4 C. rice pudding (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 pkg. gummy eyeballs

Directions

Place 1 cup of rice pudding in the center of a plate or bowl (we use small pie plates). Place three cherries and a bit of the cherry sauce on top of the rice pudding. Place gummy eyeballs on top of the cherries (if you don't have or cant find gummy eyeballs, you can easily decorate the cherries to look like bloody eyeballs with some cake decorating frosting or gel). We also like to wash the pudding off of a few of the grains of rice and place them around the eyeballs so it looks extra gross.
