Ingredients
- 12-lb. turkey
- 8 qts. water
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 celery stalks
- 2 lg. tomatoes
- 1 carrot
- 1 sm. onion
Directions
Place turkey in cold water in large pan. Bring to boil, remove scum, add salt, celery, tomatoes, carrot and onion and boil gently for about 2 hours or until the turkey is tender. Let turkey cool a little in broth, remove from pan and cool completely before slicing.
