Ingredients
- 1/2 gal. milk
- 1 C. farina
- 5 eggs
- 1 C. sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 6 filo (strudel leaves)
- ground cinnamon
- powdered sugar
Directions
Melt butter. Heat milk. Add sugar to milk and farina. Add vanilla. Stir constantly with wooden spoon over heat until mixture thickens. Beat 5 eggs for 5 minutes and pour into mixture. Grease pan with butter. Place 3 filo on bottom of pan, each individually buttered. Pour mixture on filo. Cover with 3 filo on top, again individually brushed with butter. Trace with a sharp knife, desired shapes on top of filo. Bake for 30 minutes in oven at 300 degrees. With filo looks golden brown, remove from oven. While still warm, sprinkle with powdered sugar and ground cinnamon. Serve warm.
