Ingredients

  • 6 pieces bacon
  • 1 C. onion, chopped
  • 3 cans pork and beans, undrained
  • 1 can Northern beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Navy beans, drained and rinsed
  • 3/4 C. ketchup
  • 1/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1/4 C. molasses
  • 1/4 C. bourbon
  • 2 Tbs. yellow mustard
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Cook the bacon in a skillet until done, then place it on a paper towel-lined plate. Keep 1 Tbs. of bacon fat in the skillet and discard the rest. Saute the onions in the skillet with the bacon fat for 3 to 4 minutes. Place the onions and all other ingredients, except the bacon, into the crockpot. Stir well, cover, and cook on low for 4 hours. For 20 minutes, uncover and turn the heat to high. Stir in the bacon and let it thicken.
