  • 6 medium sweet potatoes
  • 6 Tbs. butter, melted
  • 1 C. pecans, chopped
  • ¼ C. brown sugar
  • ¼ C. whiskey
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • ¾ tsp. ground cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Poke holes in the sweet potatoes and make sure they’re thoroughly rinsed. Bake them for 60 minutes and remove them from the oven. Lower the heat to 375 degrees. Peel the potatoes and mash them with 2 tablespoons of the butter, 1 tablespoon of the sugar, salt, and the whiskey. In a separate bowl, combine the rest of the ingredients for the topping. Put the potato puree in a large pan and cover it with the topping. Bake the casserole for 25-30 minutes until the topping is browned and crunchy.
