  • 1 and 1/2 C. fresh cherries, pitted and sliced in half
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 3 Tbs. cherry brandy or regular brandy
  • 1/4 C. butter, melted
  • Topping:
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1/4 C. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 C. butter, melted

Place cherries in a greased square-baking dish. Sprinkle C. sugar over them followed by the brandy and butter. Combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and C. melted butter and use a fork to form a crumb mixture. Sprinkle over cherries and bake for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool slightly before serving.
