Apple bread is a great breakfast item to transform tart apples into a sweet treat. Bake the bread in advance to have something delicious for breakfast all week long.

Ingredients

  • 1 C. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 C. apples, diced
  • 3 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. walnuts, chopped
  • apple slices

Directions

Preheat oven to 325˚F.
Sift flour, cinnamon, soda, and salt.
Add the oil, eggs, sugar, and vanilla.
Mix well.
Add apples and nuts.
Top with apple slices.
Divide between 2 loaf pans.
Bake for 70 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes in the pan.
Sprinkle with sugar before slicing and sharing.
