  • 4 C. sliced tart apples (about 4 C.)
  • 2/3 to 3/4 C. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 C. all purpose flour
  • 1/2 C. non instant oatmeal
  • 3/4 tsp. each ground cinnamon, and nutmeg
  • 1/3 C. softened butter

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Arrange apples in greased 8 inch square pan. Mix remaining ingredients; sprinkle over apples. Bake until topping is lightly browned and apples are tender, about 30 min. Serve warm with cream if desired.
