  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 yellow onion that is peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups of broccoli
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust that is unbaked
  • 4 eggs that are beaten
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 pound of Swiss cheese that is grated into coarse pieces
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 tablespoon of melted butter

Heat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt the butter in a sauce pan. Add the garlic, broccoli, and onion. Cook and stir until the vegetables are soft. Pour the vegetables into the crust and sprinkle it with the cheese. Combine the milk and eggs and season it with the salt and pepper. Pour in the melted butter and stir. Pour in the egg mixture over the cheese and vegetables. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the center has set.
