Brown Rice And Chicken (Crockpot)

Start this dish before you leave for work, and the wonderful smell will greet you on your return.

Ingredients

  • 3-4 boneless chicken breasts; cooked, diced
  • 1/4 C. green onions; chopped
  • 2 stalks celery; chopped
  • 2 C. cooked brown rice
  • 1/4 C. dry white wine
  • 2 C. chicken broth

Directions

Combine all ingredients in crockpot. Salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours.

  • I agree. If using cooked chicken and rice, i think that 2 hours on high should be enough. If using raw chicken, then the timing is ok or 4 hours on high. I would also cut the broth in half.

  • If you are cooking the recipe for 6-8 hours in the crock pot there should not be a need to pre-cook the chicken breasts. I can not imagine the the result of such over cooking. The rest of the recipe looks okay except for the rice. Maybe the rice should be added uncooked with added liquid for the finished meal.
