  • 1 corned beef brisket
  • 1 large onion, cut into small pieces
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1 celery rib with leaves, chopped
  • 1 package pickling spices
  • Glaze:
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light-brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup broth
  • 1 tbs whole ground mustard

Place the first five ingredients into a ducth oven and add water into it. Make sure the water covers the ingredients and boil. Simmer for 2 1/2 hours on low heat for the meat to be tender. For the glaze, add the rest of ingredients and stir. Cover the meat evenly with the glaze. Bake for 45 minutes while basting occasionally. Cut into medium pieces and serve
