Buffalo Chili Onions
- 1/2 C. Red-Hot or your favorite cayenne pepper sauce
- 1/2 C. (1 stick) melted butter or margarine, or olive oil
- 1/4 C. chili sauce
- 1/4¼ C. chili powder
- 4 large sweet onions, cut into 1/2 inch slices
Whisk together the hot sauce, butter, chili sauce and chili powder in medium bowl until blended; brush on onion slices. Place onions on grill. Grill over medium-high coals until tender, turning and basting with the chili mixture. Serve warm.
Preparation Hint: Prepare onions ahead of time, but grill just before serving.
Yield: 6 servings.
