Butter Cookies
Ingredients
- 3 C. flour
- 1 C. butter, chilled
- 1 C. sour cream, chilled
- 3 C. ground walnuts or filberts
- 2 C. sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 325. Mix butter, sour cream and flour together (butter and sour cream should be cold) until dough forms - do not over mix.
Mix sugar and nuts in a separate bowl. Roll out dough approximately 1/4 inch thick cut into circles. Put on baking sheet and sprinkle generously with sugar and nuts. Bake at 325 for 12 minutes until lightly golden brown (cookies will puff up) - do not overbake.
