This is an easy cake to throw together and forget about it while it cooks. Delicious flavor without a whole lot of effort.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Duncan Hines Butter recipe cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 C. mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
  • 3/4 C. oil
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1 C. chopped pecans

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 10 inch bundt or tube cake pan. Combine cake mix, eggs, bananas, oil, sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in large bowl. Beat at low speed until moistened, then beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in pecans. Pour into pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan for 25 minutes; invert onto cooling rack and cool completely.

  • At 325 it took 80 mins to bake. Nice and moist, but way too many fat grams and sugar for me. An easy cake to make.

  • Just as I thought, this cake was fabulous. The only issue I had was I tried to make it in a castle pan and could not get it out in one piece. Next time I will either split it into a couple of bread pans or one regular bundt pan. Does not need any frosting but would suggest maybe a light dusting of powder sugar. I definately recommend this recipe.

  • I have this cake in the oven. I used a yellow cake but tempted to use a chocolate. The batter is delicious! Can't wait until it is ready to eat. I know I will make this again, next time chocolate.
