The addition of beef, pork, rice, and veggies makes a complete meal.

  • 1 medium cabbage, cut up
  • 1 large onion, chopped fine
  • 1 green bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. ground pork
  • 2 C. water
  • 1 1/2 C. rice
  • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil

Put oil in a baking dish and layer half of the raw cabbage, raw rice, two ground meats mixed together, onions and pepper. Pour 1/2 can tomato sauce over layers. Repeat with another layer of same ingredients. Pour remaining sauce, salt and pepper and 2 C. water over layers. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
