Cabbage-Pepper Slaw

This healthy slaw contains cabbage pepper, and a variety of spices. The secret ingredient is definitely the sugar!

  • 4 C. cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 C. green pepper, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. white pepper
  • 2 Tbs. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 2 Tbs. tarragon vinegar
  • 1 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 C. salad dressing

Soak the celery seed with vinegar before you start shredding and chopping. Combine vegetables, salt, pepper and sugar. Combine the celery seed, vinegar, mustard and salad dressing. Add to vegetables and mix thoroughly. Make at least 3 hours before serving.
