Cabbage Roll Casserole

Stuffed cabbage rolls can be a lot of work, but this casserole dish make it easy with this all-in-one recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • 1 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 10 oz can tomato soup
  • 1 C. water
  • 3 Tbs. rice
  • 3 C. coarsely shredded cabbage
  • Grated cheese or cheese slices

Directions

Brown hamburger. Add onions, salt, pepper, garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce and cook until golden. Drain off excess fat. Add soup, water and rice and mix. Place cabbage in a casserole. Pour meat mixture over cabbage and top with grated cheese or cheese slices. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.

  • I made this casserole exactly as directed. It came out rather dry and lacked something. Next time I added a 2nd can of soup 1 can of milk and almost twice the shredded cabbage. Perfect!!!
