Next time you need a chicken dish with some spice, here is an easy and borrowed recipe for a Cajun spice rub.

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbs. salt; (may be omitted)
  • 1 Tbs. red pepper; (cayenne)
  • 3 Tbs. black pepper
  • 3 Tbs. white pepper
  • 4 Tbs. onion powder
  • 4 Tbs. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbs. thyme
  • 4 Tbs. paprika
  • 1 Tbs. basil
  • 1 Tbs. file powder

Directions

Mix together and store in labeled spice jar.
