  • 2 lb. braising steak
  • 1 T. olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 3 C. sliced mushrooms
  • 3 C. beef broth
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 C. flour
  • pinch of Cajun seasoning

Heat the olive oil in a skillet with the beef, cooking just until the beef is lightly browned. Put the vegetables, broth, salt, pepper, Cajun seasoning, and flour into the crockpot. Add in the browned beef, as well as any drippings from the skillet.
Stir to combine everything and coat the beef, then cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
