Camp Biscuit Mix

Simply add water to the biscuit mix, which lasts 2 months in the fridge, and bake until lightly browned.

Ingredients

  • 6 C. flour
  • 2 Tbs. baking powder
  • 1 Tbs. salt
  • 1 C. shortening
  • 1 C. powdered milk

Directions

Mix ingredients well with an electric mixer and store in a 2 lb. container in refrigerator. 

When ready to use, mix:

2 C. biscuit mix

1 C. water

Directions

Mix lightly and pat to desired thickness.  Bake in lightly greased covered Dutch oven or heavy skillet until lightly browned.

Makes 10-12 biscuits.
